Hidden Impact
You don’t have to be knocked out to have a concussion. Many people walk around with lingering symptoms—brain fog, dizziness, pressure—without realizing the problem may not be in their head at all. It’s in their neck.
When the head takes a hit, even one that seems minor, the force travels down to the atlas, the top bone in the neck. If this bone shifts even slightly, it can distort the normal position of the brainstem and change how cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) drains around the brain.
CSF is the fluid that cushions and nourishes the brain. When it can’t flow or drain properly due to an upper neck misalignment, it can build up pressure inside the skull—adding to headaches, visual disturbances, and that lingering fog many people feel after a concussion. This fluid imbalance, combined with nerve interference around the brainstem, can make full recovery nearly impossible until the underlying issue is corrected.
At Rapid Chiro, we use precise imaging to locate these shifts in the upper neck. Our corrections are gentle, specific, and designed to restore normal alignment—allowing CSF to circulate freely and communication between the brain and body to normalize again.
A concussion may begin with an impact, but true recovery begins when the pressure is released—where the head meets the neck.
